Continuing its commitment to corporate social responsibility,
Mr. Lube announces their ongoing support of Zajac Ranch for Children

Vancouver, BC – July 29, 2011 - Mr. Lube, Canada’s leading quick lube provider, is proud to announce their ongoing support of Mr. Lube Week at Zajac Ranch for Children, in partnership with the Zajac Foundation.  The camp offers an authentic camp experience to children across Canada who would otherwise miss out.

This year’s Mr. Lube Week at Zajac Ranch for Children follows the hugely successful inaugural year in 2010. In partnership with the Zajac Foundation, children with serious and chronic illnesses and disabilities have been selected to attend the camp in a beautiful Canadian wilderness setting. Mr. Lube Week is being held from August 1 to 5 at the 40-acre Zajac Ranch on the shores of Stave Lake in Mission, BC. The camp promises to be another fantastic success.

“The success of Mr. Lube Week at Zajac Ranch for Children last year was tremendous.  Over 40 children from across Canada attended the five day camp,” said Stuart Suls, President & COO, Mr. Lube Canada. “The affect the week had on the children who could attend was amazing. Our franchisees have also picked up on its transformative power and have become heavily involved in the week’s organization and fundraising.”

Mr. Lube always strives to play an active role in providing for and contributing towards community projects in their surrounding areas. As big believers in corporate social responsibility, the culture of giving something back can be seen across the entire network of Mr. Lube locations. Franchises such as Prairie Lube Ltd., operating out of Calgary, don’t only contribute towards Mr. Lube Week at Zajac Ranch for Children, they have also been supporting a local project, Camp Quality Alberta, for the past seven years.

“In these tough economic times, it’s our responsibility to do what we can to ensure all children receive the same opportunities,” says Aaron Adams from Prairie Lube Ltd. “We are incredibly proud of our team for what they’ve accomplished over the years, having raised in excess of $110,000. Being the father of a child with a disability, I recognize that children’s charities are near and dear to people’s hearts. When we can help enrich the lives of children with disabilities and illness we in turn enrich our own lives and the health of our communities.”

Focused on making a real difference, the Mr. Lube Kid’s Drive is involved in projects like Mr. Lube Week at Zajac Ranch for Children, throughout Canada. Since it was set up, the initiative has raised close to $1,000,000, with every cent going towards improving the lives of children who need it most. Their continued support for projects such as Camp Zajac is bringing smiles to Canadian children across the country.

This year, media are invited to attend Mr. Lube Day at Zajac Ranch for Children on August 3, 2011. This will provide the opportunity to speak with members of the Mr. Lube corporate team, individual franchisees, camp organizers and the children who benefit from the experience.
