The Mr. Lube Foundation was founded in 2002 to support the various charitable initiatives of our corporate and franchise employees. With a belief of giving back to the communities in which we operate, the Mr. Lube Foundation has raised over $3.3 million since its inception. Funds have been directed to charities across the country, including education and aid programs for children, the fight against cancer, and local community initiatives.
2010 Community Involvement
The Mr. Lube Foundation is supporting a number of national and regional activities for 2010. A small number of its programs include:
- The Scotiabank Bowl for Big Brothers Classic from April 1 to May 16, 2010
- The 4th Annual Founder’s Day Campaign in support of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada (MS) on Saturday May 8, 2010
- The Mr. Lube Tournament for the Cure in support of prostate cancer research with the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation on Monday June 7, 2010
- Tournament for Life in support of prostate cancer research on Monday July 5, 2010
- The Mr. Lube Week at Camp Zajac Ranch for Kids from August 9 – 13, 2010
Mr. Lube Week at Camp Zajac Program Details
The Mr. Lube Foundation is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Zajac Foundation and the Zajac Ranch for Kids. During the week of August 9 – 13, 2010, Mr. Lube and Camp Zajac will be co-hosting the first annual Mr. Lube week at the camp. The camp offers an opportunity for children with life-threatening illnesses and chronic disabilities from across Canada who would otherwise miss out on the chance to attend a camp. The camp will host up to 50 children from across Canada during this one week once in a lifetime experience.
Mr. Lube will help to support the cost of transportation and general camp fees for the children attending. More information on the program and application details can be found on the link below or through visiting the Camp Zajac website wwww.zajacranch.com.

- The Mr. Lube Tournament for the Cure with VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation: $175,000 for the Prostate Cancer Centre at Vancouver General Hospital
- Founder’s Day Campaign: $30,000 for the MS Society of Canada
- 1st Annual Mr. Lube Tournament for Life in support of prostate cancer research raised $30,000 for Prostate Cancer Canada
- The Scotiabank Charity Challenge: $3,500 for the Prostate Centre at VGH Hospital
- Recipient of the Spirit Award (Quantum Leap Giving Award) from the United Way in support of employees and organizations who have dramatically increased the overall giving to the United Way year over year.
2007 Community Involvement
- The Mr. Lube Tournament for the Cure with VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation: $155,000 for the Prostate Cancer Centre at Vancouver General Hospital
- Founder’s Day Campaign: $21,200 for the MS Society of Canada
- 8th Annual Mr. Lube Charity Golf Classic: $19,095 for Camp Quality and the Jennifer Ashleigh Foundation
- The Scotiabank Charity Challenge: $9,715 for the Prostate Centre at VGH Hospital

- University of Alberta Chair in Uro-Oncology: $1.2 Million donation in Memory of Ted Ticknor, former CEO of Mr. Lube Canada
- Prostate Centre at Vancouver General Hospital: $1 Million donation in Memory of Ted Ticknor, former CEO of Mr. Lube Canada
- 2006 Oil Drop Campaign: $102,521 for various community charities across the country
- 7th Annual Mr. Lube Charity Golf Classic: $32,606 for Camp Quality, The Jennifer Ashley Foundation and the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre
